Virginia Binsch is a product designer with a focus on material and experiment. She holds a Master’s degree of Product Design from Weissensee Academy of Art and Design Berlin. In 2019 she joined the Materiability Research Group and established the associated Materiability Lab with Prof. Dr. Manuel Kretzer at the Department of Design Dessau, Anhalt University. Currently she is working to expand the lab to a new exploratory material investigation space, stimulating the formation of design ideas and spin-offs within Materiability’s fields of research, especially focusing on bio and smart materials, adaptive systems, generative and parametric design and digital manufacturing methods.
