After her Bachelor’s degree in Politics and Communication Sciences and several years of professional experience in the field of e-learning, Dominique Lohaus began her Bachelor’s degree in Integrated Design at Anhalt University of Applied Sciences in October 2017. In this context, she focuses on product and industrial design and investigates the social, economic and geopolitical forces that influence these disciplines. This has led to her participation in the projects Bioplastic Robotic Materialisation and Adaptive City Car, in which, among other things, she examined the potentials of sustainable and biodegradable materials.
In the winter semester 2019/20 she was a recipient of a merit-based scholarship from Anhalt University of Applied Sciences. In the summer semester 2020 she completed a four-month internship in the office of Ilja Oelschlägel where she deepened her knowledge of the use of various materials in product design and interior architecture projects. Dominique joined the Materiability Research Group as a student assistant in October 2020.
