Carlos Sanchez Paton
Master in Architecture from ETSAM Architecture School (UPM, 2012) and Major in Urbanism (Université Libre de Bruxelles). Since 2010 he has worked in different architecture offices and was coordinator architect at Association for Sustainability and Architecture (ASA Spain). He has participated in several international seminars and workshops related to sustainable building environments, bioclimatic architecture or industrial production organized by International Center for City, Architecture and Landscape (CIVA), ABIO (UPM) or Architectural Association School (AA) among others. His research is focused on advanced architecture, implementing intelligent building systems for improving inhabitancy of our building environments; studying multi-sensing assisted homeostatic technologies targeting energy efficiency and smart cities oriented solutions. In 2012 he began working as research assistant at GATV group, promoting efficient building systems and high-tech urbanism. Currently he is involved in the project ‘Briosistema’ for the development of smart green building envelopes; he also participates in both national and international R&D proposals within the programs INNPACTO, CIP, FP7 and more recently H2020 calls for EeB, EE or FET.
